Report Identity Theft or Fraud

Are you a victim of identity theft or fraud?

Report identity theft and fraud to the Orlando Police Department so you have a record for future needs, and to help us investigate crimes in the area.

Online

Step 1.Determine what kind of fraud occurred

Many agencies have been set up to investigate certain types of fraud.

If one of these fits your situation, you should contact that agency instead of OPD.

Keep in mind you do not need to file a police report with us if you are contacting one of these agencies.

If none of these fit your situation, proceed to the next step.

Step 2.Check your eligibility

You can file a report with the Orlando Police Department if he crime you experienced is not as described above, and either:

  • You live within City of Orlando city limits and the crime happened online or by phone.
  • The fraud or theft happened within City of Orlando city limits.

If you're not sure if the address is in city limits, you can check the address online.

If you are outside Orlando city limits, please check with your local jurisdiction. If you live in Orange County, you can report to OCSO online.
