The Orlando Police Department offers free residential security surveys. Under the program, an officer will come out to your property and instruct you on how you can better safeguard your home.
This free nine-day course will be offered to students enrolled in 10th – 12th grade and aims to foster relationships between the police and fire departments and youth in the community.
The Citizen Observer Program (C.O.P) is comprised of volunteers who help police by patrolling neighborhoods, shopping malls and school zones. Their main purpose is to report suspicious activities, persons and vehicles. C.O.P. members have no law enforcement authority and carry no weapons.
