You are not eligible if you:

  • Are not a U.S. Citizen.
  • Have used tobacco or tobacco products within the past year.
  • Have used or possessed, within the last three years any controlled substance.
  • Have a DUI/DWI conviction within the past four years.
  • Have been convicted of, plead "no contest" to, or had adjudication withheld for any felony crime.

Even if you are in the process of getting your certifications, you are encouraged to fill out an interest card.

Additional Testing

Applicants selected for employment must pass a criminal background check and a medical exam including a drug screen. Final candidates for security, cash-handling positions and any other positions required by the City of Orlando will be polygraphed.
