Jennifer Kesse disappeared on Jan. 24, 2006. But at the Orlando Police Department, we never stop searching for missing persons.

Through the years, the public’s interest in Jennifer’s case has not waned. That is due in large part to Drew and Joyce Kesse, who have been committed to keeping this case in the public eye. It’s worked. This case continues to generate tips. In fact, OPD has received more than 160 tips in the last five years – and one as recently as Jan. 16.

On Jan. 24, 2018, Chief John Mina announced that Orlando Police Detective Teresa Sprague will focus exclusively on the Jennifer Kesse case. Detective Sprague will pore through the thousands of pages of documents in the case file and the hundreds of tips – with a fresh set of eyes. If there are clues we may have missed the first time around, we are hopeful that Detective Sprague’s expertise, after seven years as a homicide detective, will help us find them.

Chief Mina also announced that the CrimeLine reward in this case has been increased. Anyone with information in this case is now eligible for a reward of up to $15,000.

OPD’s community partners at LYNX have wrapped a bus with Jennifer’s photo, a photo of the person of interest and the increased reward information in an effort to spread awareness of this case. And OutFront media provided OPD with two digital billboards.

We will never stop looking for Jennifer. Her parents, and all those who love her, deserve answers. At OPD, we will continue to work hard to provide those answers to them.
